Mini-Grant Program

The Community Wellness Plan Mini-Grant Program will offer small, one-time funds for projects and activities in Randolph. This program aims to create a Randolph where everyone can reach their ideal well-being.   The mini-grants are competitive. All applications will be reviewed by representatives from the CWP.

What is the CWP?    An action plan for improving public health in Randolph based on data and community feedback. Residents, municipal staff, faith leaders, health care and mental health providers are working toward the goals outlined in a four-year plan.

Who can apply for the mini-grant?  Proposals will be accepted from non-profits, businesses, agencies, groups, or individuals based in Randolph.

How much is each grant?  The CWP will award 5 grants up to $1,000 each

What types of projects will you consider?

  • Projects that impact a significant number of community members

  • Social engagement – activities such as block parties, coordinating neighborhood  collectives, proposing neighborhood safety recommendations.

  • Placemaking initiatives -- neighborhood beautification, community gardening initiatives, creating communal spaces, art inspirations.

  • Health & Wellness promotion – exercise, nutrition, health workshops, classes, thought sessions.

  • Support civil conversations —provide learning, facilitation and/or skills training opportunities for groups of individuals.

What are the mini-grant criteria?  Projects should be well thought out, serving Randolph neighborhoods and residents.  Applicants should show how the money requested will be spent. The budget is broken down and it's clear that the cost of things/services has been researched.  The project should match the CWP's goals.

Proposals which are not eligible include:

  • Direct care
  • Projects identified with lobbying, political parties or organizations
  • Organizational or business capital campaigns
  • Projects exclusively for religious purposes
  • Ongoing operational expenses – salary, maintenance, repairs, supplies, etc.
