Cochato Challenge Course
A challenge course is a progression of activities, initiative problems, challenges and trust activities that help develop groups and individuals. They are great for School groups, Youth groups, Sports teams, Corporations, Clubs, and Families.
When presented by a trained facilitator, the challenge course helps teams and individuals to:
- Develop decision-making abilities
- Appreciate and respect differences
- Develop leadership and trust
- Practice goal setting and problem solving
- Increase confidence and self-esteem
- Promote mutual support
Low Course Elements
Low elements provide a level of challenge close to the ground protected by group support and spotting. They require all team members to participate to achieve a goal. Only through unified teamwork can the group succeed and move on to the next element. The Cochato Challenge Course includes more than 20 low challenges including:
- Spider Web
- Mohawk Walk
- Fidget Ladder
- Nitro Crossing Mohawk Walk
- Lily Pads
- Full House
- Team Triangle
High Course Elements
25 feet or more above the ground on cables and ropes, high elements are guided by a trained facilitator and depend on the group to raise participants to new heights. They are perfect for building self-confidence, trust, positive risk-taking and fostering a high level of peer support. High elements include:
- Flying Squirrel
- Swing Shot
- Up and Over Wall Flying Squirrel

Situated 15 miles south of Boston in Randolph, MA, Cochato Challenge Course is located in Belcher Park - a 16-acre recreational area, home to Randolph Youth Soccer and Cochato Camp.
