Black History Month Spotlight: Thurgood Marshall

Join us in celebrating Black History Month with a special double feature focused on Thurgood Marshall. A civil rights activist and the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court, Thurgood Marshall was instrumental in ending America’s official policy of segregation.

The films show will be:

5:30-6:30pm- Mr. Civil Rights: Thurgood Marshall and the NAACP (2014). This documentary centers on Thurgood Marshall's triumph in the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision to desegregate America's public schools.

6:30-8:30pm- Marshall (2017), rated PG-13. Starring Chadwick Boseman as Thurgood Marshall, Marshall is based on one of Thurgood Marshall's earliest cases.
